Murmurs is a series of three pieces inspired by photographs of buildings destroyed during war. Abandoned homes, left by people who had to runaway for their life. Spaces that used to be safe and protective are now wide open and empty. Only the piles of memories are left behind, slowly fading. Layers of life that will not be passed on and shared with the next generation. Something inexpressible is left within these walls.

Murmurs is part of Before the Silence, a series of work that explores the themes of memories of place, loss and sense of belonging.
